hello-goodbye.

It’s that time of year again, where the mind makes that all-too-sudden shift from beaches to books. As friends slowly dissipate, I realize it’s about time to make my yearly pilgrimage fifty miles southwest. Although a part of me finds sadness in the end of the scandal that was summer ’07, I know the only constant in life, rather ironically, is change. So I embrace the change that is fall semester, overpriced textbooks, and the childlike excitement before the first day of school. I read a quote that sums up my outlook on the matter, “wherever you are, be there.”

It has occured to me what a strange and wonderous thing love is. Just when you think you know it, you discover something that completely alters your perspective. I thought I was pretty good at it, but I have been humbled and put back into place–a good thing I believe. I could only hope to understand a fraction of what is love… and if I succeed, that’s more than most can say. I like to think that love is something that has no limits. It can grow forever and take you anywhere. Find the right person, and the possibilites are endless. I’ve said the word many times but realize I’ve only recently been qualified in saying it. Love is strong, but that’s no excuse to be careless with it.
